Nicki resides on the Far South Coast of New South Wales. After purchasing small acreage on the outskirts of Wolumla near Merimbula she began building a mud brick home - her largest 'sculpting project'. She resides with her family of animals including cats, dogs and horses.
Nicki was always fascinated by both animals and drawing and since very young desired to be an artist. School books and law books alike are littered in pencil 'doodles' of horses, cats & dogs. During her schooling Nicki undertook all available art classes and achieved top percentile ratings in Three Unit Art in the Higher School Certificate with porcelain sculptures. Four private oil painting lessons at thirteen were all she needed to inspire her to learn to paint.
Art was a continual hobby throughout Nicki's working life until 2000 when her friends' interest in art convinced her to finally begin dedicating some serious time to drawing and painting. She attended various workshops at Charles Sturt University and other venues and began exhibiting with her friends where ever possible. She has been successful with sales from various galleries as well as the exhibitions in which she has participated. Nicki prefers to paint animals and landscapes in the mediums of pastels, acrylics, watercolours and oils in traditional and contemporary styles.
